"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful..."

- Hebrews 10:23

Hope in the Christian life is not wishful thinking. It is confident expectation.

A Christian is personally related to the Lord of the universe...the Lord who is sovereign not only over all creation but also over every circumstance we experience. We can live with confidence as a result because our hope is in One who is faithful.

Paul tells us in Romans 5:1-7, "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our heart through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."

In other words, when God speaks, He stands by His word to see that it comes to pass.

Even Jesus knew that when God speaks, He stands by His word to see that it comes to pass. As unimaginably painful as Jesus realized those three days in Jerusalem were going to be, the Son of God also accepted that it was through Him that His Father would be keeping His word to ensure the salvation of mankind.

Jesus' death and resurrection are the cornerstones of hope that we have today...a hope that this is not mere speculation in what God might do. God has given His word on many areas of life regarding things He will do. We can have confident hope in all He has promised.

So, as we enter this season of celebrating the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, let us do so knowing that His name truly is the hope of all the world."

With Hope in Him!
