Emma Katherine, an OB/Gyn from Birmingham, Alabama, accompanied the Sunbelt team on their trip to Kenya this week. While most of the team began construction on the new home for Mama John, she and Bonnie led the Pastors' Wives Bible Training class.
Emma Katherine began the morning by reading from the Bible. Today's theme verse was Psalms 139:14:
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
She spoke about being made in God's image, and that each of us has a unique body. We should have no shame about how our bodies function or how to learn and share about them without embarrassment.
She taught subjects requested by the Pastors' Wives group, including breast cancer, cervical cancer, menopause, and fibroids. There were lots of questions and answers and we are thankful for her willingness to share her knowledge and training.
The church at Bellevue hosted the seminar and Anne, the pastor's wife, acted as translator.
After the class, there was time for fellowship, pictures, and gifts!
