The fifth annual Eastern Cares Charity Classic golf tournament was held on Monday, October 15, and it was a great success! 116 golfers participated and raised over $40,000 for Daily Bread Life Children's Home in Iringa, Tanzania.
Daily Bread Life opened its doors to children without hope in the Iringa area in 2006 and hasn't stopped growing. In addition to being a home for orphans, DBLCH is dedicated to teaching the Word of God and creating a Christ-like environment. As the children grow, they are able to attend Bread of Life Secondary School, which is run by the same team and also supported by Teleios Ministry. They are then supported through their advanced education or those with a God-given vision are assisted in starting a small business which, in turn, helps to support the children's home.
The funds raised on Monday do more than feed or clothe these orphans, it allows them to receive an education and the support to realize God's vision for their lives and to become productive lifelong members of their community.
