There's more water coming to Kenya! The new borehole is located on Charles and Grace's property, and will be responsible for supplying water in the Mweiga community.
IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW
The difference between a well and a borehole is the width and depth of the hole.
A well is comparatively shallow, but much bigger around. Even if it's not, it's depth usually means that it can be dug out by hand (an d shovel).
A borehole, on the other hand, has a much smaller circumference and goes much, much deeper into the ground. The main advantage of a borehole is that it's able to penetrate the aquifer to a greater depth, thus giving greater access to the water, especially in times of drought or areas of high usage.
On Monday, December 17, the drill struck the aquifer!
