Pastors' Wives Take a Dream Trip to the Coast

Several years ago, Bonnie was having dinner during the annual Pastors' Wives Bible Training School. During the conversation, she ended up explaining the term bucket list to the women.

She asked them if they had any fun dream items that they would like to get done during their lifetime. None of the women had ever seen an ocean and each expressed the desire to do so.

Back in the States, Bonnie shared the story. Upon hearing that dream, a very generous Teleios partner decided to make it a reality for the women!

Due to the pandemic, the trip was delayed but last month the women and husbands made the trip to the Kenyan coast and played in the waves of the Indian Ocean! What a grand time it was!

The trip held many new “first times” for the women and their husbands…riding a train, staying at a resort, eating seafood, seeing sea creatures, and of course the OCEAN. Irene kept quoting 1 Corinthians 2:9-10:

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" — the things God has prepared for those who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

Bonnie was unable to travel to be with them, so Charles and Grace Mbuga (two of Teleios' Kenya partners, who lead LCI & Women’s Empowerment respectively) hosted the trip.

A big thank you to Charles for making all the arrangements and planning for this trip!

Check that item on your Bucket List, ladies!
