"If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet."
- John 13:14
That was the verse of an Oswald Chambers devotion earlier this year. The focus of the devotion was how the opportunity to minister is all around us.
Chambers said that this does not mean selecting our surroundings to choose where we will minister. Rather, it means "being very intentionally God's in any haphazard surroundings which He engineers us to."
Jesus didn't sort people into categories of deserving and undeserving. His was the Way of teaching us to "Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)
The things that Jesus did, noted Chambers, were of the most menial and commonplace order, and this is an indication that it takes all God's power in us to also do the most commonplace things in His Way. For example, can we use a towel as He did? Whether it be towels or dishes or any ordinary things in our lives, how we use them in dealing with people and situations reveals more quickly than anything what we are made of.*
In John 13:15, Jesus says, "I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you." As we discover opportunities to minister in our daily lives, let us remember His example. And may we always remember that while we can't control every circumstance, we can pause before allowing fear, anger, or urgency to choose our response.
Every day, our lives leave a mark. Let it carry the shape of His Love.*

Providing Access to Clean Water
Being able to connect homes to existing water systems has a significant impact on making sure family members no longer have to walk miles to bring back only the water they can carry in buckets.
This "water tank/guttering" combination system catches rain water and stores it so they do not have to walk long distances to the river.
Additionally, some villagers now have access to their local water company's lines. This means they can have their tanks filled from the water company.
