Robert and Lucy Muteithia
Robert was born in Nyeri District of Kenya where he came to the Lord and was baptized when he was 13 years old. He attended Tambaya Secondary School, then graduated from both Kenya Baptist Theological College (Church Music) and RICCATTI Business College (Community Development).
Floyd and Bonnie first met Robert through a partnership Teleios had with Koinonia Baptist Church in Ruwaka, Kenya. Robert served as a translator for children’s Bible Camps for Teleios team members and a counselor for the camps. At that time Robert was a single young man.
In 2006, Robert met Lucy at Thangathi Baptist Church in their home area. They were married in 2012. Today they are parents of 11-year-old son, Floyd.
Robert and Lucy share a desire to serve the lord and to be active in sharing God’s love as they live out who God created and called them to be.
Robert currently serves as the Managing Director for Life Empowerment For Transformation International. LEFTI aids widows, orphans and vulnerable children. He is passionate about serving the less fortunate in the community through assisting them in becoming self-sufficient. Through farming chickens, goats and kitchen gardens this is being accomplished in the lives of those in Nyeri County and the bordering edge of Laikipia County.
Robert is also a founding partner in LCI.
Robert serves as pastor for Shalom Church. He is firm believer in practicing servant leadership and mentors others to lead in this same manner. Robert has established ministry outreach to the local police in the Salom area. With responsibilities as husband and father, he is also busy!
Trained as a bookkeeper, Lucy aids in maintaining the books and budgets for LEFTI and their household. She is a servant leader in her own right. She ministers among the women and youth of Shalom Church through teaching and counseling. At home Lucy farms the family property and takes care of the animals. She is a hard worker and has been successful in crop production. She is an excellent mother for Floyd and a super wife and encourager for Robert!
