Adela Nagy

Adela was born in the city of Reghin, in Mures county and has lived her entire life in the beautiful region of Transylvania in Romania. She attended public schools from primary school through high school then went to the university in Targu-Mures, a nearby city, studying philology Romanian-English.

Bonnie first met Adela when she served alongside her working in summer camps for Gypsy children. During those years, as they taught children, served together during the day and roomed together at night, a deep friendship was forged.

Adela had been teaching in public school for 24 years when God called her to leave everything and start to work full time for Him in Kingdom service. There was great joy even though there were challenges in living by faith…trusting God‘s timing for provision of her needs.

There have been various opportunities of service along the way as Adela has been obedient to follow as God has been leading her to her present ministry. For several years she worked with a sister association helping gather necessary documents, registrations and translations for their work. As that came to an end, Adela had opportunity to travel to Africa to teach Christian women there. As the COVID pandemic took its toll on the world, Adela returned home to Romania hoping to return at some point. But God had another plan for her.

While working to earn a living through doing translations she met Melissa and Joey Myatt, leaders of an international mission organization base in Targu Mures. Adela began helping them with translation of documents and assisting them in navigating the legal requirements of working as Americans in that city. Adela also started traveling with them to a village called Corbesti to translate for them in their ministry to children there.

Eventually a church came into existence through that work and Adela was a vital part. She taught a women’s Bible study and discipleship classes. In time the Myatts returned to the US and the organization closed their work in Targu Mures.

But God had planted in Adela’s heart a love for Corbesti, its people, this work and through it, her journey in Kingdom work would move forward.

The first months were very difficult without Melissa and Joey’s presence. Human and financial resources were scarce. But nothing is impossible with God! He has brought about local believers to help in Corbseti and started bringing together funding through a variety of sources.

To her amazement God has multiplied Adela’s opportunities of ministry and has been networking resources for her to accomplish her dream of serving in His Kingdom. Recently, she applied for and received from the Romanian government approval for a registered association (Comparable to our charitable organization) called Always Dream Big. Today, in addition to the work among women at Corbesti, God has led Adela to ministry opportunities in other locations. The primary focus is bringing God’s love and the Gospel to women of all ages facing life’s challenges.

Adela is single and is an only child.
