Last night, we all had the best time being together with the DBLCH and all the staff. Neema and Suma had prepared an incredible dinner with cake! Pizza and Pilau as the main courses with chicken, beef, and the best watermelon!
Bonnie and I could not believe how much those kids ate and enjoyed it. We sang, we laughed, and we celebrated.
A special part of the night was Tuma was home. She had been selected for a special military 3 month camp for the best and brigthest in Tanzania. She finished the rigorous 3 month leadership learning experience that was also physically challenging. Now she is with the DBL family for a short time, then, she heads to college majoring in Economics and History.
We remember the very shy, small child that came to DBLCH over 10 years ago. Seeing her now smiling and confident and excelling was and is a blessing. The vision of DBLCH is seen as a reality in the life of Tuma.
